Nebia by Moen Rainshower//LUXURIOUS SPA SHOWER for our Bus Conversion – S04E33

Finding ways to save water in a bus, van, RV or tiny home is obviously very important, but water is a precious resource that we all should work to conserve.  Having grown up in drought ridden South Africa and then living 20 years of my adult life in California, I am well aware of taking measures to conserve water and just how wasteful showering can be.

The Nebia by Moen Rainshower makes so much sense for our bus conversion, but really it’s a shower for everyone.  It is the shower of tomorrow.  A 5 minute shower (in a standard shower) uses approximately 12.5 gallons of water, with a Nebia shower you will save 45 -65% of that water.

How does it do this?  Atomization.

After years of research working together with former Apple, Tesla and NASA engineers they created the Nebia spa shower which creates tiny droplets but with large coverage. In 2020 Nebia collaborated with Moen (who have been in the shower industry for over 70 years) and created the Nebia by Moen Rainshower.  When I first showed my dad a photo of our shower he said “Wow that looks like a space age shower”.  Well it basically is!  Its rocket science in this sleek modern design.

It was super easy to install.  All the parts just easily click together. What I really like about it is how adjustable it is to your height.  The rainshower head can be adjusted up or down at any point, the head can also be angled or shoot the water straight down.  The wand has a magnetic wall dock. You can leave the wand on the dock or hand hold it, leave it on or only turn it on as needed.

My first shower was deliciously cozy.  Not only does it feel like a luxurious spa shower, but I was pleasantly surprised by how strong the pressure is. We put it to the test and I took a 3.5 minute shower (without using the wand), with the waste water funneling into a bucket. I only used about 3 gallons of water.  That is under a gallon a minute.

Nebia also makes matching modern sleek accessories for your bathroom.  We chose to go with the shower shelf.  I love that the shelf has slits, making it a great shelf for all my soap bars to dry.  The Rainshower, Wand and Shelf all come with a 3M adhesive, so no screws necessary to install into your wall.

I was also pleasantly surprised when I discovered Nebia makes an eco-friendly shower curtain.  Most shower curtains are cheap and bad for the environment, off gassing VOCS in your house and during production.  Having been asked multiple times where to find a good shower curtain and realizing how hard it is to find, Nebia decided that they would just make one.  Each curtain is made from 41 recycled bottles. It has a detachable liner, which is waterproof and washable. It is anti billowing with removing magnets in the bottom corners.  This is a shower curtain that is built to last and it only seems fitting for such a luxurious looking shower to have a quality shower curtain to go with it.

Living tiny doesn’t mean you have to rough it. Our tiny shower packs a lot of punch!
